Katharina Felgner, 32, works in service—and is giving away a NOMOS ‘time for reflection’ gift set.

»I always ask my friends and colleagues to send me a postcard whenever they travel. I keep them at home around a mirror in the hallway all year long—only on New Year’s Eve do I make some room for new ones. For the recipient, a picture postcard is like a mini vacation, and who doesn't like a vacation? I certainly do. I work in the service department at NOMOS Glashütte. The watches that travel to us are the ones in need of cleaning, oiling, or repairs. I also work as a volunteer on the side: I’m a marshal at the fire department—a big responsibility. Along with organizational matters and regular drills, I find myself deployed 12 to 15 times a year, and that can take up a lot of time. If there is a fire on a weekday, then I stop my work in service to go and help. Safety first—which is something that NOMOS Glashütte also supports. I might be needed while on the job, and on weekends or vacations too.

Because I also like to send mail and not just receive it, I assume that others feel the same: So today I am giving away a NOMOS ‘time for reflection’ set—with postcards that were designed and created for NOMOS by renowned illustrator Sarah Illenberger, among others. The set also includes the elegant black NOMOS fountain pen. And a notebook!«

»You’ve got mail!«
